Come Too
----------------------------
Pulling off the interstate, I’m low on gas and high on caffeine
I turn into the drugstore, to get my morning fix of nicotine
And I buy myself some cigarettes and a magazine
And there she was! there she was! there she was!
Where are you going to?
And where are you coming from?
I don’t know you name, and I don’t know if we’re the same
But can I come too?
Pulling onto the interstate, I’m high on gas and low on self esteem
Trying to convince myself that things aren’t as bad as they seem
When on a billboard sign I see the girl of my dreams
And there she was! there she was! there she was!
Where are you going to?
And where are you coming from?
I don’t know you name, and I don’t know if we’re the same
But can I come too?
And in the state my mind is in, I shouldn’t be behind the wheel at all
My mind keeps returning to the times when I kept building up the walls
And I hear her voice reminding me to make the call
And there she is! there she is! there she is!
Saying
Where are you going to?
And where are you coming from?
I can’t forget your name, and I don’t know who’s to blame
But if things could be the same then I’d come too
Where are you going to?
And where are you coming from?
I can’t forget your name, and I don’t know who’s to blame
But if things could be the same then I’d come too
So can I come too?
